The Donner Summit HO Scale Layout get a run through from some nice brass SP Southern Pacific locos, some foam sub-terrain, some temporary tunnels and snowsheds to test the scenery carving. Still more to do naturally. This layout is 10′x15′ and a challenge to bring Donner Summit to life but so far so nice, and in some logical order. The goal is to capture many of the standout features found up there and after a few trips up there to investigate, photograph and measure – this should be a stunning layout when done! The tunnels and Sheds are currently being scratchbuilt for the layout and are coming along very well. You can get a peek of a few of them on my website. Check ‘em out.
